Why is Allah Never Defined in the Quran?

Is Allah the Moon God?

The evangelicals say: “This fact answers the questions, ‘Why is Allah never defined in the Qur’an? Why did Muhammad assume that the pagan Arabs already knew who Allah was?’”

Response

We should start by first asking which Quran these evangelicals are reading!

Muhammad, peace be on him, the Prophet of Allah, assumed that pagan Arabs knew who Allah was, because they knew Who Allah was. Is it not time, yet, that Christians who write this type of ludicrous statement start thinking before they make such claims? They are not helping the cause of their religion by lying and committing clear deceit.

They claim that Allah is not defined in the Quran. However, what more definition one needs than knowing Allah by His Attributes as the Quran defines Him?

Allah said in the Quran, {Say (O Muhammad): “Praise and thanks be to Allâh, and peace be on His slaves whom He has chosen (for His Message)! Is Allâh better, or (all) that you ascribe as partners (to Him)?” (Of course, Allâh is Better). Is not He (better than your false gods) Who created the heavens and the earth, and sends down for you water (rain) from the sky, whereby We cause to grow wonderful gardens full of beauty and delight? It is not in your ability to cause the growth of their trees. Is there any ilâh (god) with Allâh? Nay, but they are a people who ascribe equals (to Him)! Is not He (better than your gods) Who has made the earth as a fixed abode, and has placed rivers in its midst, and has placed firm mountains therein, and has set a barrier between the two seas (of salt and sweet water)? Is there any ilâh (god) with Allâh? Nay, but most of them know not! Is not He (better than your gods) Who responds to the distressed one, when he calls on Him, and Who removes the evil, and makes you inheritors of the earth, generations after generations? Is there any ilâh (god) with Allâh? Little is that you remember! Is not He (better than your gods) Who guides you in the darkness of the land and the sea, and Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy (rain)? Is there any ilâh (god) with Allâh? High Exalted be Allâh above all that they associate as partners (to Him)! Is not He (better than your socalled gods) Who originates creation, and shall thereafter repeat it, and Who provides for you from heaven and earth? Is there any ilâh (god) with Allâh? Say: “Bring forth your proofs, if you are truthful.” Say: “None in the heavens and the earth knows the Ghaib (Unseen) except Allâh, nor can they perceive when they shall be resurrected.” Nay, they have no knowledge of the Hereafter. Nay, they are in doubt about it. Nay, they are in complete blindness about it.} (27:59-66)

What Quran do these evangelicals read? Is it not Allah’s Quran where He says, {Say (O, Muhammad): “O Humankind! Verily, I am sent to you all as the Messenger of Allâh — to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). It is He Who gives life and causes death. So, believe in Allâh and His Messenger (Muhammad), the Prophet who can neither read nor write (Muhammad), who believes in Allâh and His Words (this Qur’ân, the Taurât (original Torah) and the Injeel (original Gospel)), and follow him so that you may be guided.”} (7:158)

Allah describes Himself in His Quran, by saying, {He is Allâh, beside Whom Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He) the All Knower of the Unseen and the Seen. He is the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. He is Allâh, beside Whom Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the King, the Holy, the One Free from all defects, the Giver of security, the Watcher over His creatures, the All Mighty, the Compeller, the Supreme. Glory be to Allâh! (High is He) above all that they associate as partners with Him. He is Allâh, the Creator, the Inventor of all things, the Bestower of forms. To Him belong the Best Names. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorify Him. And He is the All Mighty, All Wise.} (59:22-4)

Yet the evangelists claim that the Quran does not define Allah! The evangelicals need to read the Quran. There is no book in existence that describes the Creator of all things in such clear, beautiful, powerful terms as the Quran does.
