listening to the debate with david... were the applauses of his statements amplified more than those of abu ahmad's?
Paijo on April 15 2008 22:42:39
Where is the link to the audio? It does not appear on my browser.
umm- Samatar on April 15 2008 23:09:55
As salaamu al;aikum,

Where is the link to the audio? it does not appear on mine too? was it removed by the other group ? I know the link leads to an Islamic website.

assalaamu alaikum

Anybody care to respond?
Bassam Zawadi on April 16 2008 04:49:45
Bro Hamza,

The appauses weren't amplified. There were more Christians who attended than Muslims, therefore their applause would be obviously louder.
Paijo on April 16 2008 07:07:38
So, is this posting a hoax? Been waiting here!
islam life on April 16 2008 08:08:14
the link works, so many people, including myself, listened to it...check your internet settings...
non muslims were at least 70% of the audience...many of them are professional attendees as they come to applause their fellow rather than listen to what is being said...it does not mean anything, and james white has been analyzing what he said indicating that he knows he had trouble during that day...any way, if the link does not work for you, wait for the video inshaallah...let us not hoax anything, unless the tens of people who listened to the debates on the links were hoaxed into hearing what is not there...
aboo-faatimah on April 16 2008 08:47:54

the vidoe will be available on or before friday inshaallah, free download, so please spread the word when you get the link...the vidoe is far better than the audio, so those who listened to the audio should also see the video because the visual effects will made the whole picture clear inshaallah

Brother Jalal Abu Alrub, you did a good job at defending Islam, although you could have done better with respect to a few points. Regarding Aisha(ra)'s marriage to the Prophet(saw), I think you should have employed my approach.
imranchaudhry21 on April 16 2008 15:31:06
Assalam o alaikum all

For those brothers and sisters having problems in viewing the lectures try using the Internet Explorer web browser and not Firefox. I noticed that you are able to see the audios in the web link if you are using Internet Explorer whereas Firefox doesn't display the audios. I hope this help inshallah
islam life on April 16 2008 15:51:10
there was no time to use more arguments than i did...i had to ignore many other arguments i prepared...as for the marriage to aisha, i decided to use the simple approach i used...in general, i knew how difficult it is to speak about such an important topic in a few minutes...

assallamu alaikum,

Maasha'Allaah! bro the Jalal you did great job defending Islam and I pray to Allah SWT that there will more people to see the beauty and the truth. David sounded unsure of himself. Jazaakum Allahu kheir.
Ibn Abu Talib on April 16 2008 22:08:19
It was unscholarly of David Wood to insist that the Quran is poetry when so many savants, including many critics of Islam, assert otherwise. Not knowing Arabic, he simply made a fool of himself with his baseless statements.

About the Satanic verses, Wood was right about historians going back to the earlier sources. However, as far as the biographies of the Prophet(saw) are concerned, they cannot approached in a manner similar to the historical investigation of the gospels. The early biographers of the prophet incorporated both authentic and inauthentic hadith into their works, leaving the examination thereof to their successors.
umm- Samatar on April 16 2008 23:24:05
Subhaana Allaah,

it was Mambo jambo his last statement bro Jalaal that was good catch! say What ? so many versions and you could be German or African and don't have to change. What kind of Faith will that be with no principal? May Allaah be with you Insha'llaah
Arwa on April 17 2008 08:53:03
Sallam Alaikum

It's good everyone only clapped for White and Wood, since clapping needlessly is harram, especially for men.
Paijo on April 24 2008 09:08:14
I don't think the previous poster (Arwa) is serious. People clapped for Jalal as well.
Abu Zayd on April 27 2008 19:49:08
Assalamu 'Allaykum,

They were clapping for the Christian guy because some of the Christians came there to support him and they were not looking for the truth. I personally saw someone there whom I gave da'wah for a whole year. He simply was there to support his fellow Christian and was not looking to benefit himself with the truth.

So clapping really means nothing....all of us knew that the two Christian guys lost because their arguments about Islam were weak. Also, brother Jalal explained to the people that in addition to what he was saying, he had other information but due to the lack of time, he was not able to present it all. However, the first Christian guy spoke about his personal experience with Islam and his debate was nothing close to professional. The second guy seemed like he was trying to tell us that he could say greek words better than all of us when he was suppose to be answering the arguments made by brother Jalal.
