Poor Bible Still Being Edited by Christians Filled With the Holy Ghost

How Sam Shamoun Lies on the Holy Spirit

By Jalal Abualrub (www.islamlife.com)

Sam Shamoun wrote:
We read in I John 2:22-23: ‘Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is Antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.’ Thus, to the Christians Allah cannot be the biblical God since the inspired New Testament record teaches that anyone denying the Father and Son as God is Antichrist.’

Trinity or Twinity

The Holy Ghost is Missing in 1 John 2:22-23

We read in, within, back, front and out of 1 John 2:22-23 and we find nothing of the sort of what Shamoun claims.  Christians often claim that they are filled with the Holy Spirit.  If this is true, their Holy Spirit must be rather confused, since he seems to reinvent himself and edit and reedit his own eternally inspired holy words

Or better and the truth, it is Shamoun who is rather confused, since he thinks he is filled with the Holy Spirit when in fact he is filled with this, And the LORD said, Who shall entice Ahab king of Israel, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? … Then there came out a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will entice him. And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go out, and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And the LORD said, Thou shalt entice him, and thou shalt also prevail: go out, and do even so. Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil against thee. Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah upon the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto thee?” (2 Chronicles 18:19-23)

There is not a single statement in the entire Bible, let alone the text he is quoting and corrupting, that says what Shamoun claims here, “Inspired New Testament record teaches that anyone denying the Father and Son as God is Antichrist.”
Shamoun is putting his own words in the mouth of the Holy Ghost, whom Christians often claim is the one who inspired the OT and the NT, but who does not seem willing to stop Christians, whom he allegedly fills, from lying on him and adding words he did not say in the book they said he revealed.

1 John 2:22-23 says absolutely nothing about denying the Father, the son or Christ as being God.  This is a fabrication, a new addition to the Bible by the lying spirit that fills so many modern-day Evangelicals, i.e., the ones among them who think that lying helps their weak and false religion against Islam.

1 John 2:22-23 talks about denying Jesus is the Christ and the son.  Shamoun added on his own the statement about denying the son, or the Christ if you will, being God.  This is editing of the Bible at its ongoing process!

Certainly, Sam Shamoun is filled with something, but it certainly is not the Holy Ghost, whatever ghost means.  The ghost that adds words to alleged words inspired by the Holy Ghost is not a friendly ghost, Casper, but the lying spirit of 2 Chronicles 18:19-23.

We, the Muslims, believe that Prophet `Esa, and Jesus is not his true name, is the Masee`h, the Messiah, Christ, peace be upon him, {O, People of the Scripture (Christians)! Do not exceed the limits in your religion, nor say of Allâh aught but the truth. The Messiah ‘خsâ (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), was (no more than) a Messenger of Allâh and His Word, (“Be!” — and he was) which He bestowed on Maryam (Mary) and a spirit (Rûh) created by Him; so believe in Allâh and His Messengers. Say not: “Three (trinity)!” Cease! (It is) better for you. For Allâh is (the only) One Ilâh (‘God’), glory is to Him (Far Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allâh is All‑Sufficient as a Disposer of affairs.} (4:171)

1 John 2:22-23 is true when explained correctly and saved from lying and deceit; it actually applies to Christians more than anyone else.  When someone denies even one prophet from Allah, then one denies Allah Who sent the prophets and also denies all the Prophets.  When one denies Jesus is the Messiah, a human prophet from Allah, one becomes an antichrist.

Muslims believe Jesus is the Christ, a prophet from Allah, a son like His other sons, i.e., prophets, whom He sent before and after Jesus.  Christians reject the human Prophethood of Jesus and falsely claim he is God Himself, thus, denying his Messiahship and also denying the job of the Messiah: And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak … there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people” (Luke 7:16); This is how Jesus, peace be upon him, described himself, “A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house” (Matthew 13:57); This is also how the people perceived him to be, “And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee” (Matthew 21:11), and, “Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world” (John 6:14).

Any way one looks at this will find that Jesus is a human prophet and not God.  Or else, God would have sent himself to the people and then described himself as being a prophet, from God, who is visiting his people!

Even Christians do not call God Christ, although they call Jesus Christ God.  Shamoun does not seem to say that God is Christ, or, does he?  Until we find out, we should allow Shamoun to check with the spirit that fills him and say this to him, ‘Cousin! You lied to me, again!’

1 John 2:22-23 does not mean that Jesus is God, IT DOES NOT SAY THAT JESUS, THE SON OR CHRIST IS GOD.  It only means that Jesus is the Masee`h (Messiah) and that denying his Messiahship and his connection to God as being His son, i.e., chosen one to be a prophet, is disbelief in God Himself that makes one an antichrist.

Christ is not another name for Yahweh or God or the Holy Ghost or Adoni.  The Messiah does not even sound like Yahweh.

And where is the Holy Ghost here and what about denying him being God described as an act of disbelief too?  This is one strange family, indeed.

Assalamu 'Allaykum,

Brother, is it true that in the Aramaic language that the "Father" actually referred to God? I have heard that argument that when people who spoke Aramaic wanted to call God, they would call him "Father." Insha'Allah please clarify.

as-salamu alaikum warahmatullah
it seems that all semite languages, including arabic, used to refer to allah as being 'father' in the sense that they all depend on him and his taking care of them, sustaining them, his guidance, his compassion, like a father does to his children, and also call themselves the children of allah, iyalu-llah, in the sence that they are his dependants under his care......
european christians, greatly were and still are ignorant of the essence of eastern languages, came and corrupted these words as their desire instructed them...yet even when they corrupted these words, they knew that the same words were used to descibe people in the OT, many many times, especially the word son...so to decieve their own people, they play the game of capitalizing and lower casing the word son so as to lure christians into thinking that a capital letter makes THE SON different than a son...you all know that we do not have capital letters in arabic, hebrew or other eastern languages...not even greek has this invented english system...
